Senior Full-stack Engineer

Build and maintain event-driven backend services using Kafka, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript

Design database schemas and write efficient, scalable queries in MySQL or PostgreSQL

Write secure code for a fraud-sensitive platform, following PCI DSS best practices

Develop and maintain REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications

Contribute to the evolution of a microservices-based architecture

Build frontend components and views using React and Tailwind CSS based on Figma designs

Use AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, etc.) to speed up development

Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver user-facing features

6+ years of full-stack development experience

Hands-on experience with Kafka in production environments

Deep understanding of secure coding practices

Experience with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript

Experience with React and Tailwind CSS

Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization at scale

Experience building and integrating REST APIs

Experience translating Figma designs into production-ready components

Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, etc.) and effective prompting

Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

Startup experience

Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures

Experience with fraud detection, anomaly detection, or financial data modeling

Familiarity with PCI DSS standards

Broader knowledge of message queue systems beyond Kafka

Background in fintech, payments, or e-commerce

Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails

Experience with Bootstrap

Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
